1 loaf of french bread

3 cups milk

3 eggs

1 cup orange juice

1 cup raisins

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup sliced almonds

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 orange zest

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Then spread some butter in a 9 x 13 inch baking dish.

  2. In a bowl combine milk, orange juice, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, and orange zest. Mix to combine. Once it becomes a dough, fold it a couple of times. Then place in the refrigerator covered for at least one hour.

  3. Remove from fridge and fold the raisins in. Then spread the mixture into the baking dish. Top with sliced almonds.

  4. Bake for about 1 hour or until dough is completely cooked.
